John A. Anderson

John A. Anderson has been practicing transportation law in Portland, Oregon for over 35 years.  Mr. Anderson represents many trucking companies with issues involving government regulations including safety, insurance, authorities, registrations, taxes, and operations. In addition, he represents trucking companies, shippers, consignees, brokers, freight forwarders and others in connection with freight loss and damage claims, freight charge claims, bankruptcy issues, business transactions, contracts, etc.  Mr. Anderson also represents motor carriers in defending against personal injury and property damage claims arising out of truck accidents.

Mr. Anderson received a BS degree in Economics from Willamette University, Salem, Oregon, in 1972 and his JD from the University of Oregon School of Law, Eugene, Oregon, in 1975. Mr. Anderson is a member of the Oregon State Bar, Washington State Bar, and is admitted to practice before the US District Court for the District of Oregon and the Western District of Washington, and the Ninth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeal.

Kevin M. Anderson earned his BA in Philosophy and Political Science from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas, in 2002.  Mr. Anderson earned his JD from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, Denver, Colorado, in 2008. While at the University of Denver, he was a Technical Editor for the Transportation Law Journal and a law clerk for a past President of the Transportation Lawyers Association.

Mr. Anderson is on the Board of Directors of the Oregon Trucking Associations’ Safety Management Council.  He is also a member of the Transportation Lawyers Association, Conference of Freight Counsel, DRI Trucking Law Committee, Transportation Association of Portland, and the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel.

Andrew I. Schlegel practices not only transportation law, but also estate planning, probate, tax litigation, and business/corporate issues.

Mr. Schlegel graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas Christian University (TCU) in 2002 with a BA in Economics and Political Science/International Relations, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Golden Key National Honor Society.

Mr. Schlegel received his J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School, Magna Cum Laude, Portland Oregon in 2009. At Lewis & Clark, Mr. Schlegel was elected Lead Article Editor of the Lewis & Clark Law Review and received the Outstanding Client Advocate Award in connection with his representation of clients at the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic and the Lewis & Clark Legal Clinic.
